November 30th Structure Fire Press Release

On Sunday November 30th 2014 at 13:11 the Esopus Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a Structure Fire at 80 Loughran Lane in the Town of Esopus.  Firefighters arrived to find a single family residence “well involved.”  Searches of the residence were completed and a deceased canine was found, the residents were not home at the time of the fire.  Several Firefighters received minor injuries while attempting to control the fire.  A Fire Investigation was completed by the Ulster County Fire Investigation Unit and has been listed as an Accidental fire.  Units returned to service shortly after 21:00.

          Other agencies assisting at the scene include:  Rifton, Highland, Milton, Port Ewen, St. Remy, New Paltz, Tillson, and Rosendale Fire Department as well as the Town of Esopus Volunteer Ambulance Squad, Ulster County Bureau of Fire, Ulster County Fire Investigation Unit, Central Hudson, Town of Esopus Fire Inspector and the Town of Esopus Highway Department.
