The Esopus Fire Department is always looking for new members — and no experience is necessary! Whether you’re interested in active firefighting or supporting the department in a social or administrative capacity, there’s a place for you here.

- Exterior Firefighter / Scene Support

Volunteer Benefits

Application Requirements
To apply, you will need to submit a completed membership application along with a copy of your NYS Driver’s License or DMV-issued ID. Applicants must be a resident of the fire district. Those seeking active firefighter status must pass a physical examination and drug test. We welcome applicants as young as 16 with legal guardian consent.
